MEET THE FOUNDER — GRACE YEBOAH OFORI
Grace Yeboah Ofori is the visionary founder and CEO of TruFaceByGrace, a Black-owned fashion brand known for its Afrocentric jewelry and African-inspired fashion. Ghanaian-born and Canadian-raised, Grace moved to the U.S. in 2014 to pursue new opportunities.
With a multicultural background, she built a label that blends contemporary style with traditional African artistry—creating handmade statement accessories that celebrate heritage with modern flair.
EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Grace holds a BA (Hons) and a Master of Public Policy, Administration, and Law (MPPAL). She double-majored in pre-law and sociology while working full-time in the Canadian government.
Her professional foundation in public policy, leadership, and analysis gave her the structure to thrive as an entrepreneur. Yet even with a successful 9-to-5 career, Grace felt a deeper creative calling.
FROM PUBLIC SERVICE TO PURPOSE-DRIVEN FASHION
After moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 2014, Grace continued her public service in the U.S. government. By 2017/2018, she launched TruFaceByGrace as a side project and turned it into a full-time venture after COVID.
TruFaceByGrace began as “a creative journey of preserving cultural heritage” through design. It grew into a purpose-driven, for-profit social enterprise aimed at creating income opportunities and uplifting communities across Africa.
CULTURAL FUSION & DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Grace infuses each design with her Ghanaian heritage and pan-African influences. She blends authentic African textiles, beads, and materials with contemporary fashion, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that fuse tradition with modern aesthetics.
From bold Ankara prints to Adinkra symbols, each piece tells a story. Grace describes her work as “head-turning, show-stopping pieces” that empower clients to embrace their identity and express pride in their roots.
RED CARPETS & GLOBAL RECOGNITION
What began as a passion project has received international acclaim. Grace’s pieces have been worn by Janet Jackson and Cardi B, and featured on major red carpets—including the Oscars, Emmys, and Golden Globes.
TruFaceByGrace designs have appeared in hit productions like:
-
Coming 2 America

Her work has also been spotlighted in top publications like Vogue and Good Housekeeping.
A LEGACY OF IMPACT
