Handcrafted by master artisans, the Bahari Clutch features hundreds of authentic cowry shells intricately stitched in hypnotic, arching patterns over a firm, structured silhouette. Shimmering glass beads are woven between the shells, allowing each piece to catch the light beautifully from every angle.
Each clutch is a true labor of love, taking days to create by hand using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The name Bahari — Swahili for “ocean” — reflects the spiritual and cultural significance of the cowry shell, once used as currency and still revered as a symbol of wealth, femininity, protection, and divine power.
Finished with a premium lined interior and discreet magnetic closure, this bag is more than an accessory — it is wearable art. Perfect for exclusive events, cultural galas, destination looks, or anytime you want to shut it down in true regal form.

If your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 3 days of delivery with photos of the item and its packaging, and we will make it right. Earrings cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.

STATEMENT PIECE OF ALL STATEMENT PIECES!!!! When I saw this bag the oversized one was sold-out. I waited because my heart told me I would not be disappointed. I'm glad I did. My birthday photo shoot was amazing with this piece added. At dinner later that night I had people following me to the bathroom(yes, literally 🤣😆😁) to ask about this bag. This purse is EVERYTHING! I carried it to a fashion show and it added something special to my outfit. People kept asking about it! I’m so happy I bought it everything about it fits my style perfectly! So happy!
The bag is well crafted the only thing for me is that the strap should have been longer, as I wear my bags crossbody.
I love the purse! It's event prettier in person. I plan to wear this as a shoulder purse and not a clutch. It's rather large to wear as a clutch. I do wish the connection from the bag to the detachable strap was sturdier, I plan to take it to the shoe repair and have it reinforced or replaced. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase!

This bag was on my wishlist for a few years. I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase it. This bag is even more beautiful in person than on the website. If there is such a thing as the right size over-sized clutch this is it! It also comes with a strap and a storage bag. The suede back of the clutch is perfect so you don't snag anything you are wearing, since these are true cowrie shells. I understand why this bag stays out of stock. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend this clutch. The quality is exceptional.
